We are always looking for new personalities for TORN Radio. If you think you have something the listeners will be interested in, and have at least two hours a week to commit and an account on the game, consider joining the TORN Radio Team.
REQUIREMENTS
You must have an active game account.
You must be IRC active.
You will need a reliable stable connection [wired].
At least 10 hours of correctly tagged music. PG13 rated, radio edits or comparable.
Broadcasting Software such as Sam Broadcaster or Virtual DJ.
A WORKING mic. You are required to speak during your shows.
And at least time to commit to at least one scheduled 2 hour slot a week.
Remember that this is TORN Radio and this is an extention of the game, so your ideas and shows will revolve around the game and its community. We are asking you to think about what parts of the game you will focus on in your shows, such as poker tourneys, forums, faction wars, etc. Simply holding a competition is not what we are looking for.
You will be contacted ingame to schedule a time to be reviewed. If you do not hear back within two weeks, assume that your application was declined. Do not bug radio staff on irc or in mails.
Make sure that you choose a day and time that you know you will be able to spend time tuning your set up. This could take a few hours.
NOTE: it is advised you practice with whichever streaming software you intend to use and familiarise yourself with common tasks such as changing track & using the microphone. You can do this without being connected to any server. You will be required to perform a minimum 20-30 minute show for your test stream. The test session including help with 'tuning' your setup could take up to 3 hrs. Having a working knowledge of the broadcasting software is preferable.
Only serious applications will be considered. If we need to decipher it, we're not going to. And being the best DJ in your opinion will make us think twice about your application. Give us details about your experience.
